Directed in 2005 by Daniel Sousa, Fable is an animated short-movie about 7 minutes. The narration, built on two characters, takes us into an allegorical world where humanity and animality mix up and merge. Served by a Dan Golden‘s soundtrack, the film favors the atmosphere. A perspective that magnify the technical choices. Indeed, Daniel Sousa combines several processes to get an organic result. All the digital work is so printed and manually corrected. The director then scans these new drawings he edits in HD, the final product being then transferred on a 35mm film. Finally, last physical touch, the backgrounds and decors come from an assemblage of collages, photographs and paintings. And with no surprise, Fable has been shown in more than twenty festivals (Annecy, Sundance, Melbourne,…) and awarded with lots of prizes.
