Flight to New York where we discover the nudes series of the photographer Simon Chaput. A collection of black and white pictures unveiling the body, contre-jour shot. Imagined during a open-air session in the Death Valley, the process is brought to the studio where, through a work on light, Simon Chaput transcend the traditional codes of the artistic nude. Refined lines, symmetries and rhythm, the morphologies are offered as landscapes and so give off quietude and tranquility. A technique where the negative spaces take on an importance equivalent to the presence of the subject.

Born in 1952, Simon Chaput expatriates to New York being thirty years old. He discovers there the visual impact of the urban geometry and quickly feels the need to devote himself to photography. A passion which fruit is widely, and all over the world, covered by magazines, galleries or private collections.
