Augustine Kofie – Vintage Futurism
Appeared on the L.A. graffiti scene during the ’90, Augustine Kofie distanced himself with a sense of balance and an artistic approach turned to forms and skins. Technical acuteness and perspectives or architectural plans, tattooed with retro colors, constitute the first impulse of his works built by collages and painting. Of a unique style, uncommon to street art, each Augustin Kofie’s proposition takes you in a spatial saga, with no criterion or gravity, to let your eye feel like an ion in the middle of an electrical circuit. An hybridization balanced between sixties models and modern dynamism that he names vintage futurism.
